Thieves break into new Langaville school

The criminals broke the main volt door to access the keys of the entire school.

Menzi Primary School, the multimillion-rand state-of-the-art school that opened in Langaville, Tsakane, on the first day of school on Wednesday, last week, was reportedly broken into yesterday (Tuesday) during the early hours.

The Gauteng Department of Education has expressed its shock and disappointment at the incident.

In a media statement from the department, it is alleged that two patrollers were tied up and locked in one of the strong rooms.

The criminals broke the main volt door to access the keys of the entire school.

The main areas broken into were the administration block and IT offices.

All 185 learner tablets were stolen, along with laptops, computers and other valuables.
