According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past 24 hours (August 13 to 14):

Cases reported:

• Speeding: 3
• Theft: 5
• Reckless driving: 1
• Dealing in drugs: 1
• Common assault: 2
• Residential burglary: 1
• Traffic offences: 3
• Possession of drugs: 1
• Theft of motor vehicle: 1
• Business burglary: 1

Arrests:

• Speeding: 3
• Shoplifting: 1
• Possession of drugs: 2

Burglary:

• West Road, Sonneveld.

The home was burgled on Monday.

Stolen: A TV, a radio, a kettle and a set of kitchen knives.

• Graaf Road, Rand Collieries (business).

The break-in took place on Tuesday.

Stolen: A TV.

Theft of motor vehicle:

• On Tuesday, a silver Toyota Nissan bakkie was stolen from Kingsway Avenue.
