ACDP and Laerskool Dalview help Tweedy Park frail care residents

“We made a special effort to help those who do not usually receive visitors.”

The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) in Brakpan, working in conjunction with Laerskool Dalview, brought Christmas cheer to Tweedy Park frail care residents on Friday.

The project was masterminded by Brakpan ACDP’s Marlene Visser, who works for Laerskool Dalview.

The school collected items for distribution and the ACDP Brakpan branch made a financial contribution as well.

Then, ably assisted by husband Past Johnny Visser, Marlene put together over 100 packages of toiletries and sweets.

With the help of Laerskool Dalview head boy Renko Nell and head girl Dané Jansen van Rensburg, the gifts were handed out personally to every frail care resident.

“We made a special effort to help those who do not usually receive visitors,” said Johnny.

His son, Past Nikki Visser, is chairperson of the ACDP Brakpan branch.

Spreading some early Christmas cheer were Past Johnny Visser (left, ACDP), ACDP Brakpan chairperson Past Nikki Visser, Marlene Visser (ACDP and Laerskool Dalview), Laerskool Dalview principal Chris Pretorius, Karin Janse van Rensburg, Dané Jansen van Rensburg (Laerskool Dalview head girl) and Renko Nell (Laerskool Dalview head boy).
