Seven superintendents have been appointed in vacant chief superintendent positions at the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department.
The appointments were made on April 1 at the metro police’s headquarters in Kempton Park.
Head of department Jabulani Mapiyeye and his management team deployed the newly appointed four men and three women commanders with 15-26 years of experience.
Three will be reporting in the eastern region, two in the southern region and two are retained in the specialised services division.
All the appointees are from within the metro police and all have been taken through intensive and rigorous training to enhance their managerial, technical and communication skills in preparation for their new duties.
