Brakpan SPCA needs you to make animal welfare a priority
The SPCA is currently seeking members to join the committee and subcommittees.
The Brakpan SPCA AGM, which was open to members of the public, was held on Saturday at Medley House.
Sanette Bosman, current chairperson of the Brakpan SPCA, presented reports that included, among others, annual statistics on the amount of animals handled by the SPCA, the financial status of the society and complaints attended to.
New branch manager Tamaryn Lombard touched on the SPCA’s future goals.
A vaccination clinic and a new vehicle, to name just a few, will be on top of the list.

A new committee was selected which included Dennis Young, Tania Wells, Debbie Hammond, Natalie Brink, Anette Pieterse and Sanette Bosman.
The SPCA is currently seeking members to join the committee and subcommittees.
Dennis Young resigned as vice-chairperson and this position, as well as that of secretary are open.
The focus remains on the importance and responsibility of owners to have their pets sterilised as the only viable solution to the overpopulation epidemic of dogs and cats.
The SPCA also pleaded for the community to be their eyes and ears as animal cruelty is happening every day all around us.
