Information sought after suspected hit-and-run

Police suspect the deceased may have been homeless.

The body of a man suspected to have been killed in a hit-and-run was found along Heidelberg Road (R23) in Brakpan last week.

According to Capt Pearl van Staad, spokesperson for the Brakpan SAPS, the incident took place at around 6am on Thursday.

Believed to be in his late 30s, police suspect the deceased may have been homeless.

“His clothing was torn and faded,” said van Staad.

At the time of publishing, the deceased had not yet been identified.

Witnesses or anyone with information can contact the investigating officer, WO Warren Kennedy, on 011 744 7100.
