Brakpan High applauds matrics of 2020

The Brakpan High School Class of 2020 achieved impressive results, much to the delight of school principal Lucky Nkopane.
Despite the difficult circumstances matrics faced due to Covid 19, the school’s matric learners obtained a 91.1 per cent pass rate.
Nkopane told the Herald the school achieved a 100 per cent pass in mathematical literacy, accounting, tourism, history, consumer studies and computer applications technology.

Sixty-eight learners achieved a bachelor pass and several achieved distinctions in individual subjects.
Nkopane praised parents and educators for how they encouraged learners to study and succeed.
“We are proud of the self-discipline exhibited by our learners and their determination to give their best,” he said.
The school’s top matriculants were Aaminah Rawat, who obtained distinctions in mathematical literacy, history and life orientation, and Shaznay Botha, who bagged distinctions for Afrikaans, history and life orientation.
