School athletes off to national champs
The athletes have been hard at work training and look forward to participating.
Several athletes from Muriel Brand School attended the Gauteng trials for the physically disabled in 2019.
After the trials, eight athletes qualified to go to the Toyota National Championships for the Physically Disabled in 2020 as members of the Gauteng team.

Due to Covid-19, these championships were postponed to April 2021.
The Toyota National Championships will now take place in Gqeberha from (Friday) until April 26.
The athletes have been hard at work training and look forward to participating.
They will compete in the following categories:
• Chane Brink: discus, shotput and javelin.
• Thato Mthembu: 100m, 200m, 400m and long jump
• Gift Shiburi: discus, shotput and javelin.
• Sabelo Mahlambi: shotput, javelin, long jump and 200m.
• Daniel Molobela: discus, shotput and javelin
• Jacques Schutte: discus, shotput and javelin
• Kabelo Tsotetsi: discus, shotput and javelin.
• Benno Schoeman: discus, shotput, 100m and long jump.
