Young fighter shows his potential
The local fighter trains under the experienced Shihan Raymond Phillips and Brazilian Jujitsu trainer Shaun Naude at XKT.
Xtreme Kickboxing Technologies’ (XKT) Darius Dekker has proven why he deserves a spot in the South African Mixed Martial Arts team.
The Grade Eight learner at Hoërskool Die Anker recently won gold at the first MMA tournament this year.
The youngster has also been selected for the national Proteas’ team that is scheduled to compete in Turkey from July 29 to August 3.
This will not be the first time that Dekker competes internationally.

In 2019 he was part of the national team that took part at the first-ever International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) World Youth Championships in Italy.
