Spurs poor away form continues
This weekend the senior side faces Mountain Robbers, while the u-17 team goes up against Corinthians.
For all the good form Brakpan Spurs have shown at home, things have not been easy on the road this season.
Before last weekend they had only picked one league point out of a possible six away from home.
Their rotten luck in away matches continued on Saturday as they were held to a three-all draw by Elsburg FC when they squandered a two-goal lead.
Spurs started the game brightly as they put their opponents under pressure early on.
The pressure paid off when goalkeeper Dumisani Msiza moved away from his goals to score from a free-kick.
The second goal came not too long after that when captain Sdumo Munene curled a shot past the Elsburg keeper to make it 2-0 to the Brakpan side.

The visitors seemed comfortable at half-time as they held a two-goal lead.
The second half, however, was a complete contrast as Elsburg fought back.
They pulled one goal back and looked more dangerous as the game progressed.
The second goal seemed inevitable as the two sides were back on level terms.
Spurs, to their credit, jumped back into action and seemed to have come to life. Zakhele Kunene scored in the dying minutes of the match.
Kunene’s goal seemed like it would be enough to give Spurs their first win away from home but this was not to be.
An off-the-ball incident saw Thabang Cumbane commit a foul in the penalty box to gift Elspark an opportunity to equalise.
Elspark converted from the spot to have the match ended at 3-3.
Spurs u-17 side, on the other hand, has been in spectacular form as they beat Napoli FC 4-0 on Sunday.
This weekend the senior side faces Mountain Robbers, while the u-17 team goes against Corinthians.
