Storm no problem for Spurs
Manager Jabulani Munemo believes that his side will win the league.
Saturday’s rainstorm could not stop Brakpan Spurs from collecting three Easterns Local Football Association (ELFA) league points.
Spurs beat Boksburg FC 2-0 in an away match on Saturday to edge closer to log leaders Alberton.
The match started well for the Brakpan side when Tshepo Masilela capitalised on a goalkeeper error to put his team ahead early on.

Spurs continued to control the game throughout the first half. The second period saw the rain come down hard with strong lightning and hail forcing the referee to temporarily halt proceedings.
Spurs picked up where they left off when the rain stopped as Nqobile Gamede doubled the lead to make sure that they maintained their winning momentum.
This win comes a week after Brakpan thrashed Amadino 10-0. They are currently second on the log, four points behind Alberton with three matches left in the season. Manager Jabulani Munemo believes that his side will win the league.

“Alberton has tough games coming up and we believe that they could draw or lose two of the three matches,” he said.
Brakpan’s three remaining matches are against Olympia (away), Elsburg (home) and Rovers (home). They know that they will have to win all three games to give themselves the chance of winning the title.
Spurs u-17 side finished their season with a 5-4 win over Corinthians to end their campaign to finish second in the league.
