Weekend crime round-up
A house robbery was reported at an address along Kunyamane Ranyaoa Road.

According to information received, the following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:
• Friday – A home in Livingstone Avenue was burgled of a TV, a laptop and garden furniture.
* A washing machine, sewing machines, a stove, a TV, jewellery, garden tools and a car battery were stolen from a vacant home along Stoffberg Avenue.
An electricity box on the property was also damaged.
* A business in Voortrekker Road was broken into and cellphones, cash, a computer tower and other goods were stolen.
* A smash-and-grab was reported at the intersection of Kunyamane Ranyaoa Road (formerly Goods Road) and Stoffberg Avenue.
The incident took place at 16:50. The female motorist was waiting at the traffic lights when the front passenger window of her car was smashed.
A lone thief grabbed a handbag from the vehicle and ran off. The bag contained the victim’s cellphone, a purse with cash and bank cards, her ID book, jewellery and house keys.
* A trailer was stolen from an address in Devon Street, Dalview.
• Saturday – A brown Toyota Land Cruiser was stolen from the corner of Abercorn Avenue and Elliot Road.
* Car audio equipment was stolen from a car parked at Mall@Carnival.
• Sunday – A house robbery was reported at an address along Kunyamane Ranyaoa Road.
Two men gained entry into the house at around 20:10 and forced the two occupants of the home into the bathroom.
One of the men was armed with a knife. A TV, a sound system and DVDs were stolen.
