Weekend crime round-up
An overview of crimes reported to local SAPS from October 14 to 16.
The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the weekend:
Friday – A Volkswagen Caddy was stolen from Escombe Avenue. The car was later recovered in Dalpark and a suspect was arrested.
• Manufacturing supplies were stolen during a break-in at a business along Springs Road in Witpoort Estates.
• A home in Graaf Street, Sunair Park, was burgled of TVs, a laptop and other household items.
Saturday – A car parked along Wenden Avenue was broken into. Damage was caused to the vehicle’s ignition and electronic control unit.
• A home in Muir Street was burgled of a TV.
Sunday – A laptop and other valuables were stolen during a burglary at a residence along Taft Avenue.
• A TV was stolen from a business in Escombe Avenue.
