Soul Outreach Community Upliftment in Dalview is providing those in need with a clean and safe place to sleep.
Situated at 157 Hamilton Avenue, the NPO’s overnight shelter opens at 16:00 and closes at 18:00.
A bed and clean bedding are provided. The cost is R30 per night and something to eat is provided in the morning before it’s time to leave at 07:30.
There is a strict no drugs and alcohol policy.
“We are also proud to say we started Soul Kids House of Safety for abused, neglected and abandoned children,” said Martina Stickling, CEO and founder.
“We provide a safe environment for the children, healthy meals and a loveable home for those who have been neglected.
“Soul Kids worked with the Department of Social Development in Springs and children were placed in our care for some time.”
The NPO has come a long way since 2019 from its humble beginnings as a soup kitchen and distributing food parcels.
The NPO relies on donations to continue its operations and contributions in any form are welcome. For more information, contact Stickling on 081 745 7182 or Belinda Coetzer on 076 167 4328.
