Performers spread Christmas joy

Opera singers entertain audience with Christmas carols.

Local music lovers joined Ryt Culture as they hosted a Christmas carol sing-along at the NG Kerk Brakpan Moedergemeente on Sunday afternoon.

Ryt Culture is a pioneer of classical music in the City of Ekurhuleni that showcases the talent the city has to offer and develops young artists.

Thabiso Masemene, Tsholofelo Masango and Bongani Vilakazi entertained the audience with operatic Christmas carols.

Accompanied by Paddy Jeffery on the piano, who opened the short service with a rendition of Carol of the Bells, the three singers moved the crowd to tears.

Vilakazi and Masango performed most of the songs, many of which the audience was encouraged to sing along to.

By the end of the performance, the singers were given a standing ovation.
