Season’s greetings from station commander
Local SAPS will be hard at work aiming for a crime-free festive season.
Festive message from Brakpan police station commander Brigadier Fredl Jonck:
The dawn of another festive season has begun, following a disastrous Covid year.
We’ve come to the end of the year but the hard work, dedication and sacrifices of all members don’t go unnoticed. It is highly appreciated and applauded.
To our members who lost loved ones and fellow colleagues, my heartfelt condolences.
As the SAPS we’ve achieved successes through the assistance of our various stakeholders, namely the CPF, NPA, EMPD, SPCA, councillors, business forum, community patrollers, security companies, Brakpan Radio Group, mall and shopping centre management, Carnival City and all other law enforcement.

I also thank the members for their selfless efforts during the year.
Most people will be enjoying their holidays while the elite members in blue work tirelessly to serve and protect South Africa.
To all community members on holiday, I urge you to be highly alert of your surroundings and always be vigilant.
Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a prosperous 2023.
Safe travels. See you in 2023.
