Local distillery hosts ERBW

Local distillery makes their own alcohol from scratch.

Members of East Rand Business Women (ERBW) visited African Spirit Distillery, in Anderbolt, on May 20 in support of a member of their organisation, Elize Steyn.

ERBW chairperson Karen Herbst said it is good to see local businesses like this thriving.

“Many businesses rely on buying stock, but here the product is made on-site. The distillery supported us at a recent golf day we hosted at ERPM to raise funds for victims of the Plantation gas tanker explosion,” she said.

One of the guests, Joe Poul, said he would like to see the gins and rums produced at the distillery in retail stores.
The distillery offers guided tours, tastings and hosts events by reservations.
