East Rand Children’s Haven will hold their Christmas in July fundraiser at Brakpan Mines Bowling Club on 15 Keurboom Street. The event starts at 5pm and will run until late. Follow their Facebook page for more information
• July 30
The Just Wheels Club will host a British Day Car Show at the clubhouse on 169 Kitzinger Avenue. Visitors will be treated to music, good food, pony rides, and a flea market. The SANBS will be on site for those who would like to donate blood on the day.
• August 9
The Just Wheels Ladies Charity Event will raise funds for the San Michele Home and the Jabes Care Centre. Artist Kabous will be the MC. The fundraiser starts at 10:00 at the Just Wheels Club, 1 Small Street, Dalview. Contact Bolla van Heerden: 084 428 7767.

‘n Boeremark word by die Brakpan Garden & Pet Cenre, Rand Collieriesweg 148, gehou. Persone wat belangstel om stalletjies te bespreek kan 082 818 1648 skakel. Die mark sal van 9:00 tot 14:00 duur.

Sonneveld Akademie hou hul 30-jaar fees op September 2. Daar sal stalletjies, ‘n smash room, ‘n spinning marathon, kunstenaars en vele meer wees. Vir kaartjies, navrae of om stalletjies te bespreek, kontak Suzette Binneman: 061 346 0394.

• Brakpan parkrun is open every Saturday at 07:50 at the Brakpan Sports Centre (across from the library). Runners, walkers and volunteers are welcome. It is free, just bring your running tag/barcode. You run, walk or jog at your own pace.

• A second-hand clothing sale will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 08:00 to 11:30 at the NG Kerk Brakpan-Oos, corner of Boundary Road and High Street. Good-quality clothing at discount prices. Call Hester Bosch at 083 307 0649.
