UPDATE: Power restored to most of Brakpan
Work is still underway to restore power to all affected areas.
The electricity supply to most parts of Brakpan has been restored following a fire at the Van Eck Park Substation this morning (February 7).
Technicians remain on site and work continues to restore power to areas still without electricity.
