Brakpan SAPS show pride in policing

Senior citizens received prompt assistance.

Brakpan SAPS officers went the extra mile to assist senior citizens who recently visited the station’s Client Service Centre (CSC). The officers showcased dedication and pride in serving the community.

Constables Funzani Matshavha and Mannana Matla from A relief opened a fraud docket for an elderly couple sitting in their motor vehicle outside the police station, after noticing the man was struggling to walk to the CSC.

Constable Audrey Buthelezi, the police station’s communications officer, came across another elderly couple, who needed an affidavit.

The man also walked with difficulty and Buthelezi assisted the couple in their vehicle and provided them with the services they required.

The officers ensured both couples were attended to immediately in a comfortable manner.

They were happy to assist and stated that whenever such circumstances arise, they remind themselves of the teachings they received from the SAPS Academy and about Batho Pele principles.

The officers appealed to all men and women in blue to be mindful of such, to take pride in their work and to always provide dignified services to the public.

Brakpan SAPS Vispol Support head Lieutenant Colonel Pearl Van Staad, who witnessed the police members’ actions, applauded them and encouraged their good work ethic.
