Car crashes through wall in quiet neighborhood

Occurrences like this are rare in Dalpark Ext 1, but the quiet was disturbed by a loud bang and a destroyed wall and car.

A loud bang disturbed the quiet neighbourhood of Dalpark Ext 1 on Tuesday afternoon when a car crashed through the wall of a Bobstay Road residence, a few days before a wedding was to be hosted at the property.

Benediction Mahlangu has lived in the home for 24 years, and it belonged to his parents before they passed away.
Benediction and his uncle, Tive Thembekwayo and grandmother, Lydia Thembekwayo, were sprucing up the home in preparation for the wedding when the accident occurred.

Tive was out front painting the exterior of the home, and Lydia was pruning bushes while Benediction was at the back of the house in the office.

Though they were very close to the impact site, both Tive and Lydia were unharmed. Benediction came running when he heard the noise to check on them.

The two occupants of the vehicle, both minors, tried to run away but were caught by CP Protection and Mav Corp security agencies who responded to the scene. Their parents were called, as well as an ambulance, and both teens were taken to hospital.
