Special votes were cast earlier this week ahead of election day on Wednesday and Brakpan centenarian Ruth Place was proud to cast her vote at her home in Brenthurst on Monday. At 100 years and nine months old, Ruth believes it is one's civic duty to participate in all elections and affirms that every vote counts. She has made her mark in every election since she was old enough to vote. Ruth is seen with IEC officials who assisted on the day.
