Volunteers help Eventide and Red Cross on Mandela Day

The home's exterior received a fresh coat of paint, while residents were treated to manicures and massages.

Eventide Old Age Home and the Brakpan Red Cross, which share the same premises, enjoyed a facelift on Mandela Day.

The home received an anonymous donation of cash to buy paint, brushes and rollers to paint the exterior walls of the premises. With this, they purchased 200l of paint.

The acts of kindness didn’t stop there. Faith van der Westhuizen came to give the residents manicures, while women from the Sister Jenny Foundation provided free massages.
