Over 7 000 cupcakes sold at Mall@Carnival for Cupcakes of Hope fundraiser
The Brakpan branch reached its fundraising target with over 7 000 cupcakes sold.
Cupcakes of Hope held its annual fundraiser at the Mall@Carnival on Saturday, selling over 7 000 cupcakes to raise funds for children with cancer.
The Brakpan branch, headed by Elize Pienaar, sells cupcakes at the mall annually on National Cupcake Day and puts the funds raised towards CANSA’s Tough Living with Cancer programme and individual families and other organisations that request support.
This event has taken place nationwide since 2012 and is always a hit with the public, who get to support children with cancer while enjoying a sweet treat.
