Police request public’s help in tracking down murder suspect

The victim was the mother of the suspect's two children.

Brakpan SAPS appeal to the community to assist in locating Max Thusi (38), wanted in connection with the murder of his girlfriend.

The Zimbabwean national and the deceased are parents of two children aged nine and seven, who lived with the mother along Station Road.

On November 4 at 00:35, the police attended to a complaint at a residential address and upon arrival at the rented room, the officers discovered the unresponsive body of a 39-year-old woman with visible stab wounds.

The two children were also in the room. The oldest told police about an argument that happened between their parents, after which the father stabbed the mother and left the room.

The police found a copy of a protection order of the deceased against Thusi. Thusi has been on the run since the murder.

Anyone who knows about his whereabouts contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Thobile Zulu, on 072 635 0464 or 011 740 0314.
