Weekend crime round-up
An overview of crimes reported to local SAPS from December 6 to 8.
The following crimes were reported to Brakpan police over the past weekend:
Friday – A Station Road business was burgled of a generator, tools and other valuables.
• Sound systems and a microwave were stolen during a break-in at a business along Reitz Street in Dalview.
• A woman was robbed at gunpoint by three men along Kingsway Avenue at around 18:30.
The victim was walking to an ATM to deposit stokvel cash when the trio approached her and demanded money.
When she told the men she didn’t have any money, one of them pointed a gun at her and threatened to shoot her.
The woman handed over the cash, and the robbers ran off.
Saturday – Cash was stolen during a break-in at a residence in the Mgongo informal settlement in Sherwood Gardens.
Sunday – Tools and machinery were stolen during a burglary at an address along Koot Street in Withok Estates.
• A motorcycle was stolen from an address along Taft Avenue. Solar panels were also taken from the property.
• A Kitzinger Avenue business was burgled of sound systems and TVs.
• A trailer and a jet ski were stolen from a residence in Pythian Street, Sherwood Gardens.
