Brakpan Freedom Front Plus PR councillor Riaan van Zyl encourages the public to report service delivery complaints on the CoE App.
According to him, the more complaints lodged, the more attention an issue receives from the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE), and if complaints are lodged correctly, it’s more likely to be resolved promptly.
“If you lodge a water leak or burst pipe under storm water or sewerage, the CoE will send out the wrong technicians, delaying the resolution of the complaint,” he explained.
“It is important to lodge the correct complaint to ensure the correct technicians can attend to it.”
Van Zyl has recorded videos to show how to lodge various complaints. The videos were shared with the Brakpan Herald and compiled into a longer video for convenience.
Van Zyl encourages residents to familiarise themselves with all the reporting categories to report under the correct one.
