CoE to hold public hearings on AG’s report
The meetings are open to all interested community members.
The CoE will be taking the public into confidence about the Auditor General of South Africa’s 2023/24 financial year report findings on unauthorised, irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure (UIFW).
This will be done in the form of public hearings.
The issues raised by the AG’s report on UIFW were referred to the city’s Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) to guide the council on it and report back on the matter at the end of March.
The public hearing meetings are being convened by MPAC before compiling a report to council.
They are open to all interested members of the community. They will be held as follows:
• February 14 at 10:00 at the Germiston new council chamber.
• March 3 at 10:00 at ERWAT head office, Hartebeestfontein Office Park, R25, Kempton Park.
