Back-to-back hijackings in Dalpark
A Toyota Quantum and a Hyundai H100 were stolen by hijackers within an hour.
In the span of an hour, two motorists were hijacked in the Dalpark area on Monday. SAPS information reveals the first incident took place along Heidelberg Road at about 08:30.
The driver of a white Toyota Quantum pulled over after the occupants of a white SUV signalled to him that the Quantum had a flat tyre.
After stopping on the roadside, the SUV also pulled over and all four occupants climbed out. The driver was forced into their car, and one of the men drove off in the Quantum.
It was not disclosed whether the hijackers were armed with weapons. The driver was later dropped off in Lenasia.

Around an hour later, at 09:30, the driver of a white Hyundai H100 was targeted. While at the Airport and Rangeview roads intersection, the driver’s path was blocked by a small gold-coloured car.
An unidentified vehicle also stopped behind him. A man then forced the driver out of the Hyundai and instructed him to get into the gold car.
He was forced to lie down on the backseat and his hands were tied with cable. The driver was searched and robbed of his cellphone and R250 in cash.
He was dropped off at an undisclosed location. It was also not revealed whether these hijackers were armed with guns or other weapons. In both cases, an additional charge of kidnapping was also registered.
