Community rallies to support child fighting rare illness

The young fighter is inspiring people all around while undergoing treatment.

Miné Steyn (4) from Sonneveld is fighting a brave battle against a rare form of childhood cancer, Adrenocortical Carcinoma (ACC).

To create awareness about the fight against childhood cancer, as well as raise funds for Miné’s treatment, family and friends are arranging multiple events.

One such event is Miné’s fun day, that will take place on May 17 at La Vida on 200 Gloucester Avenue in Kenleaf from 09:00 to 16:00.

The event is focused on fundraising, and entrance fees are R30 per person, and R15 per child under 12.

There will be live entertainment, entertainment for children, a magician and a market. To book a stall or for more details, contact Kayla van Biljon on 063 359 0978.
