Rata Social Services Brakpan has a charity shop that only a few people know about.

It is in the Rata offices at 38 Park Street, Brakpan Central. Funds raised go directly to Rata’s soup kitchen and to cover utilities and other expenses.

Meisie Scheepers, a member of Psalm91 Soul Recovery, who works closely with Rata, manages the shop from 09:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday.

The shop needs donations of household items and clothes to remain open, and members of the public are encouraged to drop off donations during operating hours.
