Join local good Samaritan for clean-up at Tweedy Park this Saturday

To support, you can roll up your sleeves, bring equipment or refreshments.

Riaan Marais, a good Samaritan from Withok Estates, will be tackling the premises of the Tweedy Park Old Age Home with a team of people, cutting the grass and picking up rubbish, from 08:00 tomorrow (September 20).

Residents are encouraged to join the clean-up and assist where they can.

“Having a neat place is important for our people, let’s put a smile on their faces,” said Freedom Front Plus PR Clr Riaan van Zyl.

“Anyone can assist by just being there with refuse bags and a rake to help clean up the cut grass.

“We are not asking for money, just for residents to hold hands and give back to the elderly.

“Let’s make sure they can enjoy summer outdoors, not just from their windows, but in a clean and welcoming garden.”
