The Top 8 Tournament concluded in a fierce battle between Real Touch FC and Alliance FC.

The 2025/2026 pre-season Top 8 Tournament of the Brakpan Central Local Football Association (BCLFA) brought “pure passion and football excellence”, according to chairperson Maria Makola.

Participating teams showcased the best of local talent and team spirit. They were Leachville Shooters, Amabenjamin FC, Sundward Park FC, Amen Foundation FC, Alliance FC, Young Stars FC, Real Touch FC, and Kalawa FC.

The competition was fierce, but four teams rose above the rest to secure their spots in the semi-finals. They were Young Stars, Sundward Park, Real Touch, and Alliance.

In a thrilling final match, Real Touch FC went head-to-head with Alliance FC and emerged victorious with a commanding 3-0 win, crowning them the Top 8 champions.

“Congratulations to Coach Thamsanqa ‘Kaizer’ Xaba and Captain Anele Kewu for leading Real Touch FC to this well-deserved triumph.

“As our association continues to grow, we invite all local teams around Brakpan to become part of our football family. Let’s build the future of the game,” Maria says.
