Police appeal for witnesses after man dies weeks following hit-and-run

The man was transported to the Far East Rand Hospital following the incident but later died. His identity remains unknown.

Brakpan police are appealing for eyewitnesses, friends, or family members to come forward following the death of a man who was struck by a car on July 2.

The man, believed to be around 40 years old, was hit by a vehicle along Olympia Road.

He was taken by ambulance to the Far East Rand Hospital, where he was hospitalised.

The man, who has yet to be identified, died on August 12.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who might know the victim to contact Sergeant Thobile Zulu on 072 635 0564.
