From sergeant to warrant officer for 11 Brakpan SAPS members

New Warrant Officers in detective and Vispol divisions at Brakpan SAPS.

Eleven Brakpan SAPS members were promoted to a higher rank on December 30 by Brakpan Vispol commander Colonel Robert Makopo, detectives branch commander Colonel Eugene Scheepers, and Lieutenant Colonel Hilton Henstock from the support component.

The members were promoted from sergeant to the rank of warrant officer.

The ceremony was held in the station’s boardroom, and the component heads shared statements of pride, encouragement, and support with the members before giving them their new ranks.

They are as follows:

Detectives:

• Fikile Zitha.

• Sizakele Hlashwayo.

• Cornelias Mamushi.

• Thokozane Mkhonza.

Vispol:

• Mapithi Seema.

• Khehla Dlamini.

• Simangele Kunene.

Absent:

• Allinah Magolego.

• Shirley Nyathi.

• Faith Ntuli.

• Sibusiso Xaba.

The unit commanders said the members were privileged to receive their promotions in good health and with excellent records.

They added that those promoted should lead by example with pride and integrity, and never forget that promotion comes with added responsibility.
