A second-hand clothing and household goods sale will be held from 12:30 to 16:00 at the NG Kerk Brakpan Oos, corner of Lapping Street and Boundary Road in Brenthurst. Join the Just Wheels Club for the ultimate Beetles and German Day from 09:00. Car enthusiasts and visitors can look forward to an exciting showcase of race cars, along with food stalls, children’s entertainment and a flea market. Visitors are encouraged to bring donations of dog and cat food in support of the local SPCA. The Just Wheels Club is located at 169 Kitzinger Avenue in Dalview.

‘n Familiemark word aangebied by 29 Hewittlaan, Sherwood Gardens, tvanaf 9:00 tot 14:00. Die mark bied onder andere, handgemaakte items, varsgebakte eetgoed, tweede-handse winskopies, koffie en boereworsrolle. Die Laerskool Brakpan-Oos bied ‘n golfdag aan by die State Mines Country Klub. Die registrasie begin om 9:30. Vir meer inligting, of om ‘n hoofborg, putjie of “putting green” te borg, kontak Michelle Benade by 082 960 1100.

‘n Gholfdag ten bate van Karlien Roets word by die State Mines Country Klub aangebied. Die fondse sal aangewend word vir diee versorging van die kind, wat beseer is, toe ‘n kombuiskas op haar geval het. Vir meer inligting en om in te skryf kontak vir Karin Roets by 074 963 8955.

Join the Brakpan SPCA’s ‘Tea with a Paw-Pose’ fundraiser at Cosy Corner at 14:00. The guest speaker will be Nicole Dickson, with students from Artklop Kreatief as the guest stars. There will also be live music by Danie van der Westhuizen. Tickets cost R120 per person. Those interested in hosting a table can contact the SPCA to make a booking by emailing fundraising@brakpanspca.co.za

• The Golden Oldies Social Club meets every Thursday from 08:30 to 11:30 at 134 Gardiner Street. Open to anyone over 55 with spare time. The club does various crafts, plays board games and is planning a breakfast outing this year. For more information, contact Ursula Edwards on 082 491 6217.

• Brakpan parkrun is open every Saturday at 07:50 at the Brakpan Sports Centre (opposite the library). Runners, walkers and volunteers are welcome. It is free; bring your running tag/barcode. You run, walk or jog at your own pace.
