Five students from Dancing Stars Gauteng studio, based at Cosy Corner in Brenthurst, participated in the World Country Dance Federation Club Championships in Kroonstad on March 13 and 14.

There was one student competing in the novice classic line dance category, and four in the newcomer classic line dance category.

The novice dancer, Joshua Oelofse, placed first in his category, while the newcomer students performed well.

Kiara Fourie placed fifth, Natasha Pretorius was fourth, Gabriella Fourie placed first, and Yana van den Berg obtained sixth place.
