Brakpan residents and businesses warned of water disruptions during Rand Water maintenance

Water pressure may take up to two weeks to fully recover after Rand Water completes its planned maintenance, especially in high-lying areas.

Rand Water has informed the City of Ekurhuleni of its planned maintenance, scheduled between May 29 and July 19.

During this period some parts of the city will experience intermittent water supply or reduced water pressure.

Water tankers will be deployed to affected residential areas during this period, and details of tanker locations will be communicated on the city’s digital communication platforms.

Residents and business are advised that water supply will be restored gradually after completion of the maintenance as the supply system takes time to accumulate adequate pressure.

It may take up to two weeks after the maintenance period for water pressure and supply to return to normal, especially in high lying areas.
