Voortrekker Road intersection attack leaves motorist pepper-sprayed
A driver was dragged from his vehicle in the early hours of the morning before being targeted with pepper spray.
A motorist was attacked with pepper spray during an early-morning hijacking at the Voortrekker Road and Prince George Avenue intersection on September 6.
According to police information, the victim, travelling in a white Renault Sandero, was waiting at a red traffic light at about 02:30 when a man opened the car door and pulled him out.
Another man then doused the victim with pepper spray.The victim tried to fight back but was punched and then sprayed again.
His attackers then got into his car and drove off.
The victim’s wallet, containing his ID and bank cards, his cellphone, a battery charger and a compressor were taken with the vehicle.
Brakpan police are investigating a hijacking case.
