New custom wheelchair for Thando
The funds for the chair were made available through an auction.
Thando Tidoli, from Felicitas School, received a new pink custom wheelchair on January 16.
Tidoli is a learner in the school’s cerebral palsy section.
The wheelchair was provided by CE Mobility and donated by the Uniquely Me Pageant group. It was adjusted to Tidoli’s measurements by Kat Swanepoel of CE Mobility.
To help Tidoli sit comfortably and with good posture, the armrests, footrests, and backrest were adjusted to properly support her body.
The funds for the chair were made available through an auction held on the day of the Uniquely Me pageant.
Uniquely Me has supported Felicitas with wheelchair fundraisers. The last pageant took place on September 3 last year.

Fundraising is not exclusive to Felicitas, however, and is aimed at providing custom wheelchairs to any disabled children, whether they attend Felicitas or not.
The pageant is a fun event in which all of the children are winners, and any disabled child can enter.
Uniquely Me will also stop at Muriel Brand School to see where they can help. The founder of these pageants for special needs children is Debbie Oberholster.
The next pageant will be in September this year. Interested parties can follow the Uniquely Me Pageant Facebook page to stay updated: https://www.facebook.com/UniquelyMeOfficial/
