Excel Edu Centre recently received a donation of Lego for its learners from the Word and Life Foundation. The Lego sets form part of the Word and Life Foundation’s ECD pilot project.

The foundation is currently implementing this project across identified ECD centres, the Word and Life Network, and other partner organisations through three key elements:

• Distribution of enablers for ECD learning (Lego sets), in partnership with Lego SA.
• Refurbishment of three to four ECD centres in the Ekurhuleni area, depending on the available budget.
• Formal training for 50 qualified NQF Level 4 ECD practitioners.

Following this pilot stage, they plan to roll the project out nationally. Excel Edu Centre believes that meaningful learning extends beyond the classroom.

Giving learners the opportunity to build, experiment and bring their ideas to life helps develop skills that can benefit them both academically and personally.

This contribution has encouraged creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking while making learning fun and engaging.

The school expressed its sincere appreciation to the foundation for investing in its learners and supporting their educational journey.
