Dalpark Football Club needs support

Dalpark Football Club has thanked the local companies who have given support to the developing club.

The club, formed in February 2012, is still in its development stages and gives young football players in the area the chance to play the game that they love close to home.

The club, based in Dalpark Extension Six, draws players from Dalpark, as well as the surrounding areas of Wattville, Tsakane, Dudusa and Leachville.

Ebrahim Fray, who was behind the formation of the club, commented: “I would like to thank the companies (Build-it and CTM in Dalpark) that have assisted us with donations that have been used towards paying the team’s registration, so that we can participate in the Benoni South Football Association’s league for the new season.

“So far we have managed to play some friendly games and we have done well by winning all the games, and that alone is a good boost for the team before we start the new season.”

He appealed to the Dalpark community to assist the club and to support the club.

Fray also urged the metro to help grow the club by providing a proper sports field where the team can train.
