Prepare for the biggest fight ever

Although it is still a few months away, mixed martial arts (MMA) fanatics are licking their lips at the prospect of this double title fight.

“The biggest fight in EFC history” will come to Carnival City’s Big Top Arena at EFC 62 on Saturday, August 19.

The undisputed EFC welterweight champion Dricus du Plessis has called out England’s middleweight champion Yannick “Black Mamba” Bahati on numerous occasions and now EFC matchmaker Graeme Cartmell has made the eagerly anticipated bout happen.

Du Plessis wasted no time in requesting a fight with Bahati after the Brit’s successful title defence against du Plessis’ training partner (David Buirski) at EFC 56 and it seems the feeling is mutual.

“At EFC 56 he was making a video saying how South African fighters suck.

“I told him he just came off a 12-second TKO and how could he say something like that?” said Du Plessis recently.

“I think he’s just a drama queen – he just loves the drama.

“He’s a big guy with a glass jaw who thinks he can intimidate everybody.”

This double title fight will see one of these revered fighters walk out of the EFC hexagon with two title belts.
