Tongues wag for mouth-watering rugby festivities
Rugby fanatics are encouraged to come on down to the stadium to witness a spectacle of club and varsity rugby.
The Bosman Stadium is ready for a rugby rendezvous like no other when the first Brakpan Rugby Day is held there on March 2.
There are a few big matches set to entertain the revellers in attendance with the main match of the festivities being a clash between Brakpan’s first XV and the University of Pretoria (Tuks) Varsity Cup side under lights on the A-field at 7.30pm.
Other not-to-be-missed clashes see Vereeniging’s first XV taking on Tuks’ second side at 3pm and QBR from the Blue Bulls Rugby Union taking on the University of Johannesburg at 4.30pm while the Owls of Boksburg Rugby Club take on Noordelikes in another big fixture at 6pm.
All the teams will use this day as much-needed preseason preparation.

• A-Field:
10.30am to 11.55am: Benoni 1 vs Kempton Park 1
Noon to 1.35pm: Bobbies 1 vs Edenvale 1
1.30 to 2.55pm: Brakpan u-21s vs Tuks u-21s
3pm to 4.25pm: Vereeniging 1 vs Tuks 2
4.30pm to 5.55pm: QBR 1 vs UJ 1
6pm to 7.25pm: Boksburg 1 vs Noordelikes 1
7.30pm to 8.55pm: Brakpan 1 vs Tuks 1.
• B-Field:
10.30am to 11.55am: Boksburg u-21 vs QBR u-20
Noon to 1.35pm: Springs 2 vs Vereeniging 2
3pm to 4.25pm: Sasol 2 vs Edenvale 2
4.30pm to 5.55pm: Boksburg 2 vs Noordelikes 2
6pm to 7.25pm: Brakpan 2 vs Tuks 3.
