Youth stands up against crime

There were teams from u-10 all the way to the open category competing.

The Brakpan SAPS recently hosted a football and netball tournaments at the Charl Baard Stadium in an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of crime to the youth.

The Brakpan Youth Sports Against Crime tournament saw youngsters from all around the town competing.

The results for the tournaments are as follows:

• Netbal u-10: Winner was Leachville Shooters and Kgotso Stars came second.

• Netbal u-13: Winner was Kgotso Stars and Mkhancwa Stars came second.

• Netball open: Winner was Leachville Shooters and Kgotso Stars came second.

• Soccer u-10: Winner was Brakpan Spurs and Leachville Shooters came second.

• Soccer u-13: Winner was Mighty Birds and Leachville Shooters came second.

• Soccer u-16: Winner was Brakpan Spurs and Dolphin FC came second.

• Soccer open: Winner was Kgotso Stars and Leachville Shooters came second.
