Defeat in East London
The winning feeling that the Valke experienced against the Boland Cavaliers last week was short-lived, as the team were downed at Buffalo City Stadium, in East London, against the Border Bulldogs, on Friday, September 13.

Both teams are firmly routed to the bottom of the Absa Currie Cup Division One log.
The East Rand team fancied their chances but were subjected to their ninth defeat of the campaign.
Border won this clash 35-14 and scored four tries that secured a bonus point and a four-point lead over the Valke at the lower end of the table.
The Valke were not looking too bad with a 14-6 halftime lead, but collapsed when the second half commenced.
Two converted tries from scrum half Anrich Richter gave the Valke the advantage going into the break, but his brace was soon forgotten as the home team turned the tables and attacked with flair and terrific interplay.
Four tries from Border took the Valke out of the match.
A late try was ruled out due to a forward pass, and this capped a bad day for the Valke in East London.
