Gospel spectacular to take place

The Business Premium Gospel Festival features the top names in the South African Gospel music industry and promises to be a powerful night of praise and worship.

Much anticipated year after year, the final leg of the Business Premium Weekend 2017 takes place at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena on August 12.

The Business Premium Gospel Festival features the top names in the South African Gospel music industry and promises to be a powerful night of praise and worship.

“This event is back by popular demand and we are thrilled to be hosting these artists all on one stage in one electrifying night,” said Michelle Smith, Carnival City’s marketing manager.

Multi-award winning gospel producer and former Joyous Celebration music director Nqubeko Mbatha takes to the stage at Business Premium Gospel in yet another inspiring performance fans have enjoyed over the years.

Musician, gospel singer, producer and profound songwriter, Mbatha studied and mastered music and has certainly become a force to be reckoned with.

He boasts three solo musical accolades and several nominations and has worked as a musical director for the TV shows I Want To Sing Gospel and Gospel Classics and has played for the likes of Mafikizolo, Malaika, Joyous Celebration and several others.

Set to join Nqubeko on stage is Ntokozo Mbambo, multi award-winning gospel artist and one of South Africa’s leading ladies in gospel.

Born and raised by worshipers, recording her first album at just 14 years of age and joining Joyous Celebration at the age of 15, she progressed from being a member, to a lead singer, voice coach and eventually a songwriter.

Fifteen years in the music industry has secured Mbambo numerous awards including SAMA awards, Crown Gospel Awards and an Africa Gospel Music Award.

Fans can expect nothing less than another awe-inspiring performance by this top artist.

The Worship House ensemble from Limpopo, famous for singing in Zulu, Tsonga, Sotho and even in Shona, despite having Venda roots, add to the atmosphere of the Business Premium Gospel Festival.

Featuring discovered solo talents such as Lufuno Dagada and Makwena Nkosi, this group promises goose-bump moments not to be forgotten.

Finally, completing the exciting line-up of artists is the one and only, SAMA nominee – Lebo Sekgobela.

This self-made musician has won the hearts of South Africans with her fifth album Restored, which has sold about 90 000 copies in five months.

With hits such as Ntate Lerato La Hao, O Morati Ya Nthatang, Sefapanong Ke Bohang, and Theko Ya Lona, which are all inspiring and delivered with emotional precision, Sekgobela is an artist not to be missed.

Doors open at 5pm.
