NPO Families In Need has started a blanket drive to donate to the homeless and is pleading with community members to jump on board and support the initiative.

The organisation feeds between eight to 14 families a week and has started making meals for the less fortunate in the community.

Hayley Farah from the organisation said while feeding the homeless, they came across 10 children living under a bridge in the cold.

“My heart breaks for them. We have to help these children survive the winter.”

Community members willing to help can make use of the following drop-off points:

• Pick n Pay Oakfields

• Pick n Pay Farrarmere

• Pick n Pay Northmead Mall

• Mission Print
