New faces at Connection Hub networking breakfast

The periodical breakfast meeting for local businesses took place at the Brakpan Rugby Club.

Small business owners and members of the Connection Hub networking group from all over the East Rand enjoyed a networking breakfast at the Brakpan Rugby Club on April 10.

It was their second meeting for the year, and 31 people engaged and networked to promote their businesses.

Besides breakfast, every member also had the opportunity to talk about their business offering for one minute.

This opportunity allowed them to identify possible collaborations for the future, as a wide variety of industries were presented at the meeting.

“Members were able to identify other business owners whom they would like to connect with and build business relations,” said Jeanette Minderon, owner of Lalies Den and co-founder of Connection Hub.

Some of the businesses included embroiderers, sewing class trainers, printers, lawyers and attorneys, office beverage suppliers, caterers, marketing companies, healthy food suppliers, pump suppliers, paint suppliers, automation experts, vehicle sales, NPO representatives, pet transporters, and others.

“It is amazing to see how members enjoy and appreciate the opportunity created through this platform to meet and connect with other businesses.

“In many cases, small business owners struggle to get out and meet possible new clients,” said Mientjie Kleinhans, owner of Corporate Choices and co-founder of Connection Hub.

To keep the networking meetings interesting, a few business owners jumped at the opportunity to showcase their products.

These exhibitions included jewellery, office beverages and machines, sewing work and products, and natural items.

The displays added extra value to the networking breakfast and created further opportunities for engagement.
