The Boksburg Athletic Club (BAC) urges motorists and residents on the Colgate Race route in Boksburg South, Parkrand, the CBD and Boksburg East to be aware of interruptions on race day on May 3.

The route starts in Jubilee Road. The runners will run towards Brakpan, turning off onto Barry Marais Road. They will then turn onto Van Wyk Louw Drive, where the first water point will be.

The runners will follow Van Wyk Louw Drive until they turn onto Heidelberg Road, where the second water point will be.

They then turn onto Leeuwpoort Street and continue until they reach the third water point outside the Colgate premises.

After Colgate, they will turn onto Van Dyk Road for a short distance and then into Power Street, Brakpan Road and Lonie Road and continue until they turn into the stadium gates in Dudley Smith Road.

The 15km runners will run onto the stadium track to complete their run, while the 32km runners will continue out of the back stadium gates and run another loop of the above route.

To add an extra 2km to the 32km race, the runners will do a loop in Boksburg South, running on the streets of Snyman, Dagama, Stanbury, Dick King, Walton and Dundee before rejoining the 15km route.
